The City of Temecula offers opportunities to not only live and play, but to also work. The City is home to a diverse array of financial, manufacturing and high technology companies. The healthcare industry is expanding with the recent groundbreaking of the Temecula Regional Hospital located near the corner of Temecula Parkway and Margarita Roads. Biotech companies have also continued to develop and grow within the City of Temecula. Within the past four years, over one million square feet of biotech space has been constructed within the city limits. The City of Temecula is actively working on a plan to redevelop the Jefferson Avenue corridor into a “Great Street” financial and job district. Despite the major economic recession, the City of Temecula has maintained a balanced Operating Budget while at the same time providing a high level of service to its citizens. The City has also maintained a ratio of one sworn police officer per 1,000 residents and continued high staffing on fire engines.
